The Data We Collect
You may give us information about you when you apply to us for our services, and when you communicate with us. This includes information you provide to us either directly, or via third party introducers.
Personal Data Collection and Storage
Types of Data we store may include:-
Name and ID data, including your first, middle and last names, your date of birth, your gender and marital status. We will also store contact data, including your home address, telephone number, mobile numbers, and your residential status, as well as your email address. We may also record your employment status, such as whether you are employed, self-employed, or retired.
Financial information such as bank statements and current account information, debts you hold, credit card statements, income and expenditure information, employer and pension benefits, and assets held. We will also hold information regarding Insurance Products you hold, and your monthly expenditure. We may hold information on your family, household members and dependents.
We will record your marketing and communications preferences, on how you wish (or do not wish) to receive marketing from us following completion of your application. We do not sell client information to third parties under any circumstances.
We may manually log or record telephone calls, which may be used for staff training purposes.

We will use the information we hold about you to administer your application and communicate with you and to use information on an anonymous basis for research, profiling and analytical purposes.

We may share your data with lenders or service providers who you ask us to provide an eligibility quotation. Occasionally we may share your data with other third parties, such as a lender you select, Credit Reference Agencies and Fraud Prevention Agencies. We may need to disclose your data to others to ensure the smooth provision to you of our Services and any information you request. Your data may be disclosed to the other entities as described below. Sub-processors. We may share your information with the following sub-processors: Equifax (Credit Reference Agency) Experian (Credit Reference Agency).
Credit Reference Agencies (“CRAs”):
If you use our Services we will obtain on your behalf, in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, copies of your credit report and credit score from designated CRAs. In order to provide these services to you, we will share your information with such CRAs. The information which we provide to the CRAs may be supplied by them to other organisations such as Fraud Prevention Agencies and used by those organisations for the purposes of checking identity, preventing fraud, tracing and collection of debt. The CRAs may also use the data to undertake statistical analysis. If you choose to apply for a product, the lender will undertake a full credit check and provide you with further privacy information for that product.

We may need to interact with your solicitor to check and chase on the progress of your application
Surveyors
It may be necessary for us to instruct a Chartered Surveyor on your behalf to provide an accurate valuation on the security property, and we will need to provide limited data to them including name, address, security property, contact details
External Suppliers
We may supply information to specialist IT providers in order to source you a suitable product, or to share personal information with non-affiliated companies who supply support services for Just Money UK Limited.
Regulators
In order to fulfil our legal obligations as an authorised and regulated mortgage broker, it may be necessary for us to share date with professional regulatory bodies, such as the Financial Conduct Authority and the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Third Parties
Where your application was introduced to Just Money via a third party, such as another Mortgage Broker, we will pass information back to them to update them on your application.
These companies must also ensure that they have appropriate security measures in place, and must maintain the confidentiality of your data.
Our Legal Basis for Using Your Information
We ensure that we have legal bases for the collection, use, and sharing of data. Our lawful bases include consent, performance of a contract with you, delivery of our services, compliance requirements and our own legitimate interests.
We will always seek your consent to process certain types of information, as required. You have the right to decline or withdraw this consent at any time.
How Long Will We Hold This information?
How long we keep your information will depend on the purpose for which we use it, our obligations and your actions. We will only retain your information in an un-anonymised format for as long as is necessary for those purposes, and to enable us to respond to any queries or complaints which may arise in the future.
We will keep your personal information following a successful mortgage or loan application indefinitely. After six years, this data will be archived. Cancelled and declined applications will be kept for a maximum of 2 years from cancellation. We may also keep your data indefinitely if we cannot delete it for legal, regulatory or technical reasons. We will retain your email address for marketing purposes, only where you have agreed to email marketing.
All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to prevent unauthorised access, loss or damage. However, although we, and our IT providers, keep systems secure and up to date, we cannot guarantee that systems can never be breached in the future. We only process your information within the UK.

Occasionally, we may send you marketing/promotional communications via email/telephone/SMS or by post. Recipients are carefully selected, and information will only be sent where you have opted in to such marketing.
Data Security
We have put in place appropriate security measures to ensure your data cannot be lost, stolen, used or accessed in any unauthorised way. We limit the access to your personal date to Just Money staff, our Appointed Representatives, advisors, business partners and suppliers who have a genuine need to know. They are subject to a duty of confidentiality, and can only act on our instructions. We will notify you and the Regulator of any breach, where we are legally required to do so.
